I am an TEFL certified teacher who's been living in Mexico near Cancun and Cozumel teaching English for nearly 5 years. Honestly, it's always been a dream of mine to teach on a cruise ship, and your blog is the the best glimpse of the day to day reality that I've been able to find. I"m totally intrigued. Thank you for that! I really hope to hear from you soon, and find out how your experience concluded as well.Rositahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03263818478688391196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1929767809228950457.post-22993481859188501532008-11-21T18:31:00.000-08:002008-11-21T18:31:00.000-08:00Hey Kristina! Is this your most recent blog?I tried...Hey Kristina!
Is this your most recent blog?
I tried to find a later one, but I'm thinking this one's it! Take risks...you have nothing to lose! I understand about the new job thing...but it should get more comfortable with some time. I know about the crew thing...people tend to stick w/ what they know; its human nature. Be the bigger person and talk to the ones that speak some english. I am happy for you. This is good for you. Take advantage of your officer ranking and live it up! I love you. Lilly, Erik and jackie are fine. Lilly is getting really good at dancing and feeding herself. She is already climbing on her lego table and table dancing...oh no!!!! It is halarious. She was a little lamb on Halloween...too cute. Can't wait to send you photos. When will you be in SD for a while? For thanksgving or xmas? love ya!

AlysiaAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04219539026267010198noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1929767809228950457.post-87942780681129599392008-10-22T10:10:00.000-07:002008-10-22T10:10:00.000-07:00Hey Kristina! (I say "they" as even though I was there, I added about .001 to the game!) Can you post photos as well? Really miss seeing you, our, "One Smart Cookie"! Until later . . .Janie E.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05076600007023503477noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1929767809228950457.post-29795969986048241712008-10-20T10:32:00.000-07:002008-10-20T10:32:00.000-07:00Well, Kristina, that's too bad you can't participa...Well, Kristina, that's too bad you can't participate in those onshore excursions. But, like you said the ship will return to whichever island you missed again.
Adjusting to a whole new team, yeah that can be a pain. Nobody from Cali. I'd just slip right by my first yr. at Grossmont. Go to class, don't talk to anyone except for the instructor. Always busy. I wore my emotions more first day in elementery school. I could be wrong, but I remember day 1 of that grade as opposed to preschool and kindergarten. I give you props. I'd probably be talking the supervisors ear off with many questions. And some more stuff to say about the run and weezer concert, but I'd like to separate you know? your blogs from my own mundane experiences. Separate the two. Hotmail or facebook is where I'll put them for you to read. I saw Craig and Zack at boardgame meetup. We played two games at Rebecca's Coffeehouse. Extreme Taboo and Wise and Otherwise. They were thinking of you. Well that's about all I have hang in there. You may be a first year teacher to the crew, but you think like a graduate student. You're the best Take care.:-) JeremyJeremyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14351169987270355669noreply@blogger.com
